And on the other hand even if you pay a lot more for a "top of the line" unit there is always the possibility you will have issues anyway. Just because something is considered by some to be "entry level" or even marketed as such does not automatically mean it will be junk. Most of the time these issues are delt with to the satisfaction of all. If you have ever build a new house I'm willing to bet you found something, or several something's wrong. I'll also repeat what many others have said in other threads. You might take the view that since Forrest River sells many lines and many models in large volumes that there are more opportunities for a given owner to have a issue and then post about it. Folks with no issues seldom go out of their way to post. I've never owned these brands but I think in general that you are more likely to get folks that are unhappy posting their issues. Is there a NOT pissed consumer website for folks who are happy with their FR RVs? You get what you pay for.Ĭamping Buddies: Maddie (maltese/westie?), Kramer (chi/terrier?), and Lido (yellow lab) Salem and Wildwood are both entry level lines. The Front fiberglass cap's finish didn't stay shiny so I had it repainted 2 years ago ($800). Some of the drawers weren't adjust very well but an hour of my labor and it was fixed. I had a smudge in the ceiling (new) and they replaced the panel. The AC vibrated but after being replaced twice under warranty it's OK. I'm also open to other brands that make decent small TTs.ĮDIT: you probably want more than that eh? Please don't be shy, you can tell me the good, the bad, and the ugly. I'd like to hear from fellow RV.net members about their experiences with small TTs made by Forest River and Pacific Coachworks. I wasn't able to find any negative comments. I'm also looking at the TTs made by Pacific Coachworks and there's very little info on them since the company has only been in business since 2006. The following link has over 150 complaints covering practically every single type of RV made by Forest River: Forest River complaints and reviews I was very surprised to see so many negative comments made by existing Forest River owners that I'm thinking I may be better off to steer clear from Forest River products altogether. Actually, both models are identical but sold under the Salem Cruise Lite and Wildwood X Lite. I'm in the process of researching small TTs and came across a couple of units made by Forest River that caught my attention.
